The Brief

To engage mid-socio women with Palmolive Ayurituel – a new range of shower gel inspired by the ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda.

The Solution

A sampling campaign in 100 mid–socio hair salons.

The Rollout

Salons were provided with 50ml sample bottles to offer to their clients in all three variants along with a die-cut voucher booklet with information about the product and a discount to purchase.

Salons were also provided with die-cut mirror decals to display on mirrors at each hair station to enhance branding.

A competition was run with salons to promote the sampling through their Facebook pages to win a Palmolive goodie hamper.

The Results

  • 28,800 samples were given out to relevant salon customers.
  • 22% of salons posted about the campaign on their Facebook pages, reaching an additional 10,000 people.
  • The samples were received extremely positively by salon staff and their clients, with great feedback on product values, variant preference and propensity to purchase.
